Maison Bel Esprit believes that a bel esprit — curious, attentive, capable of wonder and of thinking for itself — belongs to anyone willing to take the time to cultivate it, regardless of belief. That conviction runs through every collection we make, Catholic or not.
But Maison Bel Esprit is also, openly, a Catholic house. We therefore give particular attention to forming children and adults within the Catholic tradition: reading the Church Fathers and the lives of the saints, understanding the foundations of the faith, learning to pray and think with the Church. This is not an addition to our work — it is one of the reasons the house exists.
