Grand Siècle planners

The 17th century holds a fertile tension. On one side the Baroque, born in Rome around 1600, which stages light and movement, with Caravaggio and his cutting light, Rubens and his great compositions, Rembrandt and Velázquez each in his own way. On the other, French Classicism, measured, learned, turned towards antiquity, with Nicolas Poussin and Claude Lorrain. Then the reign of Louis XIV, from 1643 to 1715, which organised the arts around Versailles, the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture founded in 1648, Charles Le Brun and the gardens of André Le Nôtre. Six planners gather these three moments, in the 2027 edition and in the 2026, 2027 school year, each with its own described works and its own ornaments.
